I received these shorts roughly a week ago and I've done a few rides in them. I have to say, these are some of the best shorts for the money out there.Fit: The fit is true to size and the shorts offer a small amount of adjustability. I wear a 33 and the large was a spot-on fit. The waistband has two built-in rubber hook-and loop straps to snug up the shorts and the belt loops allow you to wear a belt if you feel you need extra support. There is an elastic band running through the back half of the waistband so that snugging the waist down does not result in an overly-tight fit. Waist closure feels very secure with a snap surrounded by velcro, and the zipper fly feels very tough. The shorts are cut nice and long to cover the leg when sitting but are not too baggy and flappy when riding.Material: These shorts use two fabrics, both of which are highly flexible. The majority of the short is made with a durable, yet stretchy material that feels like it will stand up to some abuse. In fact, I crashed on my first ride with these and there is no damage to the shorts. There is also a light, stretchy panel that runs down each leg and across the top of the butt. This helps the shorts breathe and lends even more flexibility to the shorts.Construction: The entire pair feels very well-constructed and there were no loose seams or damage when I received the shorts. Some people complained about the zippers on the pockets being weak, but they feel durable and tough to me. I like the pocket configuration (two front pockets with two more zipper pockets on each leg) and I really like the flap that covers the vertically-oriented zipper pocket because it protects the zipper a bit. There is more than enough room to stash snacks, tools, a CO2 inflator, a phone, etc. but I usually only carry my inhaler and some chapstick in my pockets. I like the fact that I have the option to carry more if need be.Overall, I am very impressed by these shorts and I will probably be picking up a second pair in another color soon. If you are on the fence, know that these are an incredible value and can compete with shorts that are three times the price.- William
