The shoe seems sturdy when my daughter does short hikes. Has nice grip which was important to me. There are no laces however so you can not tighten their feet. The only strap that you can tighten there foot is by the ankle. My daughter has a narrow foot so I'm sure she feels loose inside the boot. This has to be made for a wide footed child. There should laces to tighten their feet. But overall good quality for the price.I got two pairs of these boots for my daughters. Both fit the same size as their sneakers at the time. These were my girls first hiking boots and held up well during a big trip to Iceland. We are excited to use them for hiking near home as well. They are definitely waterproof, and my girls said they were really comfortable.I purchased these for my 3 year old and they are perfect! She o my wants to wear these shoes, even when we aren’t hiking. Highly recommend. They are very sturdy and easy to put on. I love that there are no laces…quick and easy.My almost 5 year old and I hike almost daily, anywhere from 6-9 miles, pretty rugged trails sometimes, and she loves her hiking boots. They didn’t seem to need any breaking in period, she hasn’t complained they hurt her feet at all and haven’t dealt with any blisters. She was slipping and sliding quite a bit before and these have pretty much stopped that. I would definitely purchase again. I only wish they were a tad larger but they seem true to size. I guessed thinking they would run big and they’re pretty spot on to her normal size so if you want them to last a little longer maybe size up a half or full size.I bought these for my 4-year old daughter. She is really excited about them since her older brother just got new mid hiking boots. We went on a 2 hour hike the first day she wore them and she didn’t want to take them off when we got home. They are heavily cushioned on the inside, probably due to the wp liner. I bought a size up hoping she will grow into them, and they are a little snug. So it would seem they run a tad small, probably because of the liner materials. The shoes are sturdy and seem durable enough. They do make her feet sweat but temps are still in the 80’s. These will be great fall/winter shoes. Unbeatable price for a legit kids hiking boot that is as comfortable as it is functional.went hiking with my 2 year old granddaughter and these shoes held up great. no complaintsThese worked great for our little adventurer. 30 days of hiking and camping across the country. Kept feet dry and he loved them.I ordered these in a size 7 for my 3 year old daughter. For reference, her foot measures 5 3/4", and she has a little bit of room to grow without them being difficult to hike in. She ran around in them all afternoon when they arrived and at the end of the day didn't want to take them off. The quality and the price are great. I would definitely recommend them. Our little one loves these, they are lightweight (about the same as a pair of trainers) and fit really well. The build quality is excellent and on par with adult walking boots. There is plenty of ankle support and the Velcro strap allows for a snug fit without the need for laces. They are easy for walking and running about as they aren’t very bulky. We have tested these on woodlands walks, out in the rain and mud, lots of puddles, snow and on very cold walks – feet and toes have always been warm and dry with no complaints!Well worth purchasing as you will certainly get the use out of them. We also purchased the Mountain Warehouse walking socks too, which compliment the boots nicely.Love these, cheaper then the merrels and I didn’t like any of their colours for girls anyway.Waterproof good for the feet, my daughter has wide foot like g in Clark’s.She loves them / but now won’t wear but nothing to do with shoe, it’s because she is a contrary little 4 yr old who is a huge pain in the arse! LolThese worked out cheaper than buying direct from the MW website. 3 year old loves them and can put them on himself (always a win) we like them as he’s finally out of wellies. They have been worn on a mile + walk and he still looks comfortable in them. The only downside is the toe is easily scuffed and I can imagine children who are hard on their shoes would wear it down very quickly. I like that they come nice and high on his ankle but don’t restrict movement.Toddler measured as a size 6.5 on our start rite foot gauge so I ordered a 7 and no complaints and no visible rubbing points, he has fairly wide feet too.I have a mixed feeling for this boots. First of all, it is very sturdy, my daughter says it is comfortable and the look is better than pictures. On the other side, my first order never arrived. Thanks to Amazon, they made a refund and I ordered it again. I ordered 1 number bigger than what my daughter uses on her sneakers but she said me it is small. I returned the first paired but when I add the bigger size to my basket, I see that its price was up 5 gbp. So I paid 5 gbp more to buy the correct size to my daughter and spent much time on ordering, collecting and return.Great for the purpose. My boy goes to a forrest school and refuses to wear wellies...these are great! I didn't want to spend a fortune as he is due to go up in shoe size soon and was planning on getting something "proper" after his feet grow, but after seeing how comfy these are, and waterproof, I would go for the same ones!Added note: not 100% waterproof as I've just found out yesterday but they are still very good for the price. Put in washing machine and they are good as new
