I bought these shoes before heading out west to do some hiking last month and they stood up to all the elements. From hiking desert trails of valley of fire to river crossings of Zion and then the snow filled mountains of sequoia. In all the terrain the gave good traction and allowed me to fill safe footed on even the most precarious trails. While they are water resistant they have low ankle cover so it was easy for the snow and water to get over the shoe however they dry very quick. I would highly suggest this trailShow to anyone planning to do a lot of hiking as I put 60 miles on them in a week and came out with no blisters and no falls from bad footing.
