Comfortable and waterproof I wanted to be able to give 5 stars, I’ve had the boots a month and they’ve been great ............... up until a couple of days ago when the sides of the foot where the upper meets the sole ripped.I work nights doing a lot of walking on all kinds of terrain and these boots were superb until the splits appeared.I’ve had several pairs of Salewa’s over the last five years , my Firetails lasting 4 years as my work shoes.A shame about these.I love this boot, it looks fantastic, the quality is brilliant and they are really breathable and comfortable. I've had 3 or 4 hiking boots in the past and none of them have I wanted to wear around the house. These buck that trend as they are so damn comfy! Also breathable. I have the Salewa hiking shoes which are also goretex and should be more breathable than the boots. Not so.. somehow these boots are more breathable than the shoe! Can't think of any negative for these. I've not worn them on a long walk yet so time will tell on the quality / grip / comfort, but based on a few weeks of urban use, I have no doubts these will excel on the hills!Instantly comfortable, did 7-8 miles pretty much straight out of the box. Very light and good grip. Starting to become a big fan of Salewa as a brand.Extremely comfortable straight from the box. Good lacing system keeps ankle and heel well supported. Nice and easy to get feet into and out of. Top buy.Best boots ever!!
