I'm going to come right out and say it I'm an ECCO fanatic. I own at least 5 pairs that I am currently actively using. I was out in Vegas and saw the newest version of the Esphino's and I liked the look and feel of them. I got home and did a little research and found this pair on Amazon. I preferred the color pattern, they are more understated then the current version. I have had them for over a month now. I like them very much, they are a good match for work whenever I am wearing black pants. One thing I will mention is they are little more snug then my other ECCO shoes I have had. I'm not the type that usually needs a wide with shoe so I am guessing my feet are an average with for a 43 shoe size. They are breaking in a little now from use so I don't know if that can be called a complaint but if you need a wider with shoe I would say stay away from this particular shoe type from ECCO.So happy to have a shoe that fits so well . I have small feet and i always have trouble finding shoes that fit well.Fits perfect. A lil rigid first day or two but it loosens up nicely thereafter. Love the earthy color which should blend in nicely with the dirt while on a hike. I'm also using this shoe for work and my upcoming travels to south east Asia.This is also my second pair of Ecco's. First one was so sturdy and comfortable, I used it all the time to everywhere. Used it so much, I probably wore it down faster than it usually takes....still use it when doing backyard work, with holes and all it's still the most comfortable pair of shoes I own besides the esphino.The leather is not as good as some of the Ecco brand shoes but it's OK.Was excited to receive this even though I wanted the new version of the shoe much more. When it arrived though, it had scuff marks on two spots as well as black marking on another. So I decided to return it and just wait for the newer version of the shoe to go on sale. Disappointed but Ecco still makes great product though.Great shoes, light, breeze well. last long time. like the regular laces much better than the new speedlace on Espinho 2 (broke on me in a store when I tried Espinho 2).good shoe overall and terrific sole, but on long or steep hikes the heel rubs and gives blisters.Have served me well on my travels.My feet are of 24.5cm length and normal width, the uk5 size(39eu) fit perfectly! (By the way, if your feet length is 25cm and not too wide, this size will fit too. The length of the insole is 25.9cm)The upper leather is pretty thick and tough, but is breathable moderately. The heel cushion is there. My only complain is with the RECEPTOR LITE® Technology. It indeed adds more reflection when walking, but in my opinion, it's not too suitable for sport, because the two slots form a lobe between them which is only helpful when the rare feet move back and forth, not right and left.The quality is good but the shoes were tight relative to other Ecco shoes I own in the same sizeExcellent quality from Ecco as usual and extremely comfortable42 is my normal size in Ecco shoes but I find this shoe is tight across the toes...uncomfortably so.Great shoe second pair very strong
