Mountain Warehouse Cannonball Kids Walking Shoes – Waterproof Hiking Sneakers for Boys & Girls – Lightweight & Durable Outdoor Footwear for Hiking, Camping, and School Activities

We've been looking for a shoe that wouldn't wear out as quickly as most shoes do. My 7 year old is incredibly active and always on the move, playing outdoors. While this shoe was more way more durable than what's usually available, it lasted less than two months. I was hoping that this mid-range shoe would last a little longer than it did.If you're looking for a shoes for your kiddo for a family hiking trip or for short term use, the durability and price is great! But if you're needing a sturdy, durable shoe for primary use this one just doesn't stand the test of time.So far these shoes are great for my 5yo son. The only thing I would change is to have a shorter lace because they come undone so easily. Or to offer the shoe in our size (12) with Velcro/hook & latch strap instead of laces.I had to return these because I liked another pair better. The problem with these is that the laces are super long. My toddler would be tripping over himself all the time. The shoe box was shipped in an Amazon bag instead of the box so the shoe box was completely destroyed when we got it. Very cute and nice colors though.Great buy. Really happy with the shoes. I use them for gardening and other outdoor work.Perfect for my 7 year old who wanted to start trail running with me.Perfect hiking shoe! Lasted a full summer with some serious hiking and still look brand new. If her feet don't grow they will be perfect next year to ?They have worked great for my daughter so far. They are lightweight, which is helpful when hiking with kids.Excellent, very good.I ordered these for my son for school, thinking they would be an ideal strong and hard wearing school shoe!!! How very wrong I was!!!!My son actually wore them for 12 days while at school to which as seen in the photos the sole is coming away from the shoe on both shoes. I contacted mountain warehouse numerous times regarding the shocking quality of these. To which they told me the shoes have had excessive wear and tear!!!!! In 12 days!!!! This is shocking !!!! Customer services isn’t the greatest either!! Ignoring certain questions asked and just repeated what they had already said!!! I certainly will NOT be buying from mountain warehouse again!!!!AVOID AVOID not fit for purpose!!!!!?Fabulous! Superbly grippy, comfortably stylish, nice colours, supportive, well made and relatively lightweight. Perfect for any little adventurer. I like that they're great for year round use as we wanted something she could use across the seasons to get the max from these. A favourite and well worn pair of active footwear shouldn't have to go to the back of the cupboard because it's "too wintery" or "too summery".We have sprayed these with waterproofing shoe spray to prolong their life and function as they aren't specifically waterproof, but I don't think it's strictly necessary unless you know that your child will be running through soggy muddy environments in these.Great performance footwear.Bought these in early June as couldn't get from usual shop due to lockdown. Initially I was happy with these, my son liked wearing them so they've done quite a few miles. I noticed quite early on that the yellow on the sole was wearing away. Then the top layer of the insole started coming away. In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that the soles have now split as shown in photo. I know they weren't expensive but expected them to last a bit longer than 2 months. Ok for temporary or light use but that's about it.Bought these for my 10 year old, they only lasted 4 months before one sole came away completely.Glad I waited to write this review as when we first bought them I was very impressed with them and thought they'd last her a while.Disappointing quality for a brand like Mountain Warehouse.Nothing to dislike. Arrived yesterday, even though delivery was not expected until Saturday, and put them on this morning. Amazingly comfortable and for the price of £16.99, absolutely fabulous. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made! I highly recommend them.
