I don't usually write reviews but I have been so impressed with this boot so far that I thought I would. I have owned two other different types of keenes and got two years out of both of them through heavy use (working/hiking). The issue with my old keenes was how hot my feet would get in them. These don't seem to be as bad. I just did a late fall four mile hike in northern vermont through lots of mud. On the outside they got very muddy but my feet were dry and comfortable. It's been about a month with these boots and I would recommend them to anyone interested. The materials and protection are super premium and the grip is phenomenal. I took them on a damp day on a technical hike and was blown away with the grip. The overall fit was a little bit loose/wide through the midsection and the toe box. The overall length was perfect. However I do not regret my decision to buy. There was no issues whatsoever with these boots. I've worn these on both types of trails that we hike and they fit great with great ankle support and are more rugged than I'll ever need. These are my favorite hiking boots.Got these to replace some old Keen Boots and took them on vacation and hiked 35 miles, comfortable the entire time, I even submerged them into water to see if was indeed waterproof and my feet stayed dry. I tried 4 other pairs of boots and these were the winner!I really like the way these boots have traction when you're in the dirt or the mud or hiking they're true to size and they look great.Muy cómodo ligero y fiel a la medida, excelente para el día a día.I purchased these boots on 11/2021, and ~9 months later, they have held up to any trail conditions (rocky, sandy, muddy, snowy, etc.) that I have exposed them to without any problems. They still have great grip, are waterproof, and were comfortable out of the box.For the longest time I have been on the hunt for a good home work boot. I own 2 acres with plenty of trees, vegetation and Michigan winters to deal with I wanted a solid leather boot that could stand up to working around the property in any sort of weather as well as the occasional hike with my kids. I tried Timberland and Vivo barefoot over the last two years. Timberland was too tight toward the front and the Vivo's barefoot feature never felt right and was cold in the winter BUT I did like the little extra room for the toe box. I knew Keen's offered a bit of extra room for toes and were more of a traditional boot like the Timberlands so I figured what the heck I would give them a shot. These boots nailed it right out of the gate! Maybe they won't last for hiking the AT or backpacking through Europe or something like that but if you want a leather boot that can take a decent beating and are perfect for 4 season Michigan weather working outdoors then I cannot recommend these enough. They are a great boot. I'm half tempted to buy a second pair for when I wear out the first ones.I really want to like these boots as the toe box is ample and for a very long time I have not been able to find boots that do not crush my toes in any UK size. The problem up to now after walking 23 mile over two four outings is that the bellows tongue digs into the inside front ankle bones on both feet , bruising them .The upper heel leather where the pull on loops are , dig into my skin and have caused blisters .Where to go from here ?? I hope things improve but on my next walk I will be wearing old boots to allow my feet to recover .I have wide feet and struggle to find comfortable boots so thought best to order a half size up as recommended by the manufacturer. Unfortunately the boots were to large and loose when they arrived and allowing for the normal slackening with time these boots would have just been asking for blisters caused by too much movement. I have returned them and waiting for my normal size to arrive. I did have my normal size delivered but they had signs of wear and were missing the red laces so I returned them. I did try them on and they appeared to be comfortable and had plenty of room. Also feel quite light for leather boots.Just received them and tried them on. Walking around the house they are extremely uncomfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box which is cool, but as i walk the bottom inside rivet digs deeply into the base of my big toe. No amount of breaking in will alleviate this i should think. And even if time could soften the spot Keens sole won't last that long, as we all know from experience and reputation that keen soles only last about 6 months continuous use. Wanted these for occasional use so wasn't overly bothered about the soles vanishing but I was expecting them to be comfortable from the off like Keen generally are. In fact the comfort is usually really the only thing good about Keen since they lost durability. Have to send them back unfortunately. Shame because they look nice.At last a boot that doesn't squash my toes. Seems well made, not too heavy. The tongue was uncomfortable for a few walks, but better now after about 40 miles. Overall a good boot for general wild walks, & quite comfortable on roads .The sole would benefit from a little extra depth of tread & could be a fraction more protective from stones under foot. But I'm 16 stone & size 13, so probably just right for lighter people. Very good value & I am pleased overall.Seem to be very rugged and well made - comfortable from the off and no breaking in neededLook good with the choice of laces supplied - dark brown or reddishHopefully will be long lasting - time will tell
