Like other reviewers I was also looking for a replacement for Lomer shoes. Those I have are the second pair, replacement for the originals that had also eventually worn out. The current ones are also nearly worn through on the uppers and are beginning to let in water. Both pairs have been excellent and in their turn over many years have travelled the world with me. I searched high and low for the same thing and thought that these on Amazon looked as close to the Lomers you could hope to find. In appearance they are similar, but for me they were a hopeless fit and I had to return them. They were also not as well made, but if they had fitted, no doubt I would have kept them. The Amazon shoes were too wide (and I don't have narrow feet) and cut across the top of my instep - maybe mine is higher than many people's here. Anyway, for me they were wrong. I'm sorry about this and am still looking for the right thing as a waterproof walking shoe, not for rough terrain.
