These shoes were purchased before a trip to Scotland. They didn’t need breaking in, just popped them on and went up and down the hills and moors in Scotland with ease. Pretty good grip and were not slippery in the wet misty weather! Great value for money!Runs large but usually for a hiking shoe, you want it to fit a little larger. Great cushion that got me through a 12.5 mile hike with happy feet! We are ready to take on the Grand Canyon!Straight out of the box I took it on a 7 mile fast-paced walk on wet terrain - mostly grass after snow melted. My feet stayed dry and comfortable. These regular width shoes fit great my wide feet.Love the style. Runs big. Like 1-size too big.
