these shoes work well for their intended purpose, they hold up well to water and boatingcomfortable. Do not slip on wet rocks.I went on a 100+ mile canoe trip in the Adirondacks this summer. Took these shoes along and they didn’t disappoint. They dried quickly and didn’t have the “funk” smell I would have encountered with regular running shoes used as water shoes. One point to note, these water shoes do not come in wide sizes. I bought a pair before in my shoe size and they were really tight! I went up one size and and they were more comfortable on my feet!I loved everything about this shoe except the way it fit. I've worn a size 11 all my adult life and the size 11 on this shoe fit more like a size 9 or 10 extra narrow. I returned them.Bought these shoes for kayaking. Lighter than I expected but very durable. Soles are thick enough not to feel pebbles or small rocks as you walk. And they grip the ground well.My only complaint is very small pebbles get in the water drains on the front so you have rocks in the shoe.Over all I give them 4.75 starsGreat shoe for hiking and water sports. It's a very lightweight shoe and the rubber sole grips really well, wet or dry. I recently wore these in Colorado (hiking, biking, and a rafting trip) and they were excellent. I didn't experience the problems other reviewers mentioned with smells after being in the water, and I really liked how the shoes dried overnight indoors. The fast drying time made them easy to clean and be ready for the next day. The shoe is comfortable, but I'd recommend wearing them a while to break them in before spending several hours in them. The quality construction and material give me the impression that these shoes will last a long time. This is my 2nd pair. I've had the original pair nearly 3 years. 3 years of thrice weekly water aerobics in a chlorinated swimming pool. Nothing lasts that long in chlorine except these shoes. I'm actually going to keep the originals in rotation since they're still holding up well.I'm not as happy with the fit because I have a wide foot and have to buy a longer shoe to gain the extra width I need but that's not a big problem considering the quality you get. And they aren't cheap, but I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for. Well worth the price, imo.If anyone says this is a great shoe for comfort, they lie for a paycheck. 100,000% your feet will hate you for the rest of this life and some next.
