This is a second time I've ordered this model because I love the look of them, but on both occasions the shoes fell short in the expected durability. Started developing big gaping cracks well within 12 months period - and by no means I was using them extensively. Just walking around the town, to and from the office and car park, and in fact most of the office time I take shoes off and walk in socks only.I wouldn't even try to use them on trials, because I do not trust they would return in one piece from any challenging walkabout, given the issues with durability in a very lightweight usage scenario.I am not happy about writing this review, but it needs to be said. This my fourth pair of intercepts. I had found them to be fantastic - comfortable and hard wearing. However this latest pair , I'm not so pleased with. They were just as comfortable out of the box, but after just 10 months of wear, and not heavy wear, they have split around the protective toe. I don't know whether they have changed materials to an artificial material rather than a leather derivative. Anyway, I've not had this happen before - normally I've got three to four years of heavy use out of them, wearing out the soles. So, farewell Intercepts, you were good whilst you lasted, but some idiot at head office had to change something that had worked to save 50p!Bought several pairs back to back great shoes, but these ones have fallen apart after 7 months and looking round it seems to be a common problem disappointing.Edit: Real problems trying to get how of customer service to get a replacement keep getting fobbed off going round in circles time to switch brands i think.I buy these regularly as great for dog walking and light weight.Very comfy and I only get aching feet if in them all day, so add an insole to aid that.However they fail in the seams between the difference materials, so disappointing but Amazon will swap themThese shoes are darker than pictured in the advert - don't get me wrong, they look great but are a dark blue. They come up quite narrow in my opinion - am hoping that they stretch to make them fit a tad better - 11.5 will be too big (not sure they do that size). I normally take a 10 so I bought an 11 - long enough, just the width as I mentioned. Quality looks great and will see how they last and wear over the coming weeks and re-post....good price and quick delivery.
