I like these shoes, they are very light, comfortable, and look good in a sporty-casual way. I also have the all leather version of these, and as another reviewer mentioned, the leather version fits a bit more loosely and is a bit heavier, but not enough to make any real difference. Both are great, but I actually like this version better. I got it in the "Pine" color and it looks good. I cannot speak for longevity, so I am just giving four stars for now.UPDATE: Two months in an I am still loving these shoes. They are very comfortable on the trail and on the sidewalk. I am 6', 240 lbs and they work well for me. They are very light weight, yet provide nice shock absorption. For heavy duty hiking or hiking with a heavy pack, I would go with a heavier boot, but this is a great light weight everyday shoe. They have really formed to my feet and feel great. I walk at least 20 miles a week in these shoes...so I would guess I have 150-200 miles on these shoes, and so far they are holding up well, and the tread is wearing very slowly. Some reviews complain about these shoes being hard to take off, but it does not bother me. It just takes a few seconds to loosen the laces in the upper few lace holes, then slide your foot out. A positive is that these shoes won't fall off if your laces come untied, like they can on shoes with speed-hooks. And there are no speed hooks to catch on anything.I am an 11 1/2 in many shoes. I got these in 12 and they work well for me with medium thickness socks. I still have plenty of toe space and room for swelling in hot weather. 11 1/2 probably would have worked, too, with thin socks, but I think 1/2 size up was a better choice for me.Update: These shoes are NOT good on snow and ice; not really any worse than most other casual shoes, but you won't want to rely on these as your only shoe if you live in a snowy, cold climate. I wear these whenever the streets and trails are mostly clear, and switch to a winter hiking boot as needed.
