Update, I was reading some reviews and I have to say as I have been wearing these shoes for a few years now, I have never had a problem with any shoe strings. They don’t fall apart, they just get wornOut after quite a bit of use. I wear them for a few months before I use them for disc golf then I get about 4 months or so depending. I do buy a size bigger than I normally would wear and also have a wide foot which fits great for me. If you are looking for a good pair of hiking shoes these are great, especially for the cost. Before Covid they did use to have better sale prices. I can’t bring myself to buy any other walking shoe as I compare reviews and for what I know about these. As long as they don’t get crazy priced I probably won’t ever wear another shoe for the course.Ive been wearing these for the last few years for disc golf. If you play less than 3x week they will last a year or better. I do prefer to use foot insert for more comfortable while out there.. If grass is wet your feet will stay dry but if its raining consistently your feet will get wet just like most waterproof shoes. Great for walking on wet fairways as they have great traction.Statement: a lot of sellers are giving out free stuff in return for 5-star review. So there are a lot of watery five star reviews. THIS IS NOT.I have only put them on twice so can't comment about long lasting quality. I can say that they are very comfortable. They wrap my feet pretty well. I own another pair from a different brand. They are good quality but I just didn't feel very comfortable walking with them. This pair is different. Soles are soft and the shoes are light weight. They look good on my feet too. Happy about the purchase.Size 14 fit like a size 12I walk 3 miles a day and had these shoes about 2 months. They are the most comfortable walking shoe I've worn and seem to be well made and durable. Will definitely purchase again. These look like great shoes but they are narrow. I wear a US men's size 9.5 (if anyone made shoes in that size anymore) , bought a 10 and it was a tight squueze. Also my toes had no wiggle room. I'm not looking for clown shoes but don't want my feet to be compressed into a small space.I wish these would have fit; looked sturdy , well made and the treads looked great for people like me who like to venture off the beaten path.If there was a wide option I would gladly give them a go. Hopefully the company reads reveiws like these and reconsiders their measurements.Excelente compra, muy bonitos y comodosI bought these for my husband who's a size 13 mens. Previously he hated mountain hiking with me because his feet would always hurt. So I looked into affordable hiking shoes and purchased these and he Loves them. He said they made hiking so much more enjoyable for him, thank you!The yellow on the shoe does not show as brightly as show on pic over all nice shoeI purchased these shoes for price of £29.99, so very much in the budget price range for outdoor, adventure type footwear. I usually purchase a size 9 but reading other reviews regarding them being tight, I opted for the size 10 and they fit very comfortably.First off they are comfortable shoes and ideal for either walking around the town, or as I routinely use them, walking my dog for around 40 minutes each morning through mixed woodland (track and rough) and again in the evening along a track for about 20 minutes. They are reasonably waterproof and as god as any other imilarly designed shoes: anything deeper than half a centimetre risks water ingress. Would I wear them on dartmoor? No, but let's be realistic here, at this price point, I feel that they are ideal for the purpose I use them for.I have noticed my feet sweat a little bit more in these shoes, but not excessively and I feel that they are an ideal shoe for "knocking around in". So far so good then? Yes. There is limited heel support and the sole is not very firm, so limited suport/protection for covering rough ground, however, I come back to the price point of £29.99 and what you are paying for. At this price point, they offer good value and for that reason, it is a full five stars from me.You know, I really wanted to love these shoes.Out of the box they looked great. Unfortunately, from the moment I tried walking any kind of distance in them, they were just plain uncomfortable and, after about 100 yards, painful.I think the main problem is that the soles are so thin that you can feel every single pebble you walk over.I even kept them for 3 weeks hoping they would settle in, I liked the look of them so much, but it just wasn't to be.I have returned them ( Thanks Amazon) and bought a pair of Karrimor Bodmin Low IV Weathertites for less than £2 more and I feel like I'm walking on cousions. To be fair to the manufacturers, if you put descent soles on these I think they would be great, but as is they are useless to me at least. For a hot summers day, on a flat dusty trail or slip on and off while swimming these may be OK...But any kind of rough/bumpy/wet/icey/slippery terrain, your gonna be in trouble. The soles dont grip very well in the wet, and are exeptionaly thin and flimsy, feels like a pair of plimsoles.Walking shoes/boots should be sturdy and tough, but you can squeeze/crush the heel of these with your fingers!!!You can literally screw them up in your hands???And finally after about 2 months of wear they started taking on water,I work in a boat yard outside with all the elements and also enjoy hiking through the countryside and these shoes are not up to the simple task of keeping my feet comfy and dry...Very un-impressed, I'm gonna stick to the far superior similarly priced Karrimor Bodmin walking shoes which last me at least 6 months of heavy daily usage!!!!After getting them I really liked them, they looked great and were quite comfortable. Unfortunately first rainy day proved that they aren't waterproof and it takes quite a long time to dry them out. Then 5 months after buying them, where they've been used for daily walks with dogs - nothing extreme - the sole at the heel got broken in both shoes (I can see here it's not the first case). Because of that I wouldn't recommend them.the basics of this review will be this....... For the price i was expecting more. The Good:Waterproof - tested in long wet grass in a field walking a dog and nice dry feet - 10/10Comfort - stiff cardboard covering the toes, which hurts but gets softer with use, comfy elsewhere - 7/10Laces - stay tight and easy to undo and tie up so all good there - 10/10The Bad:Sole Comfort - rock solid soles, they dont absorb anything. 5/10Grip - what grip? they do fine on dry terrain but apply water and you start slipping, dangerous. 1/10cant say on the longevity of them as they have only been used twice at the time of writing this but for me personally i feel i have wasted my money and will be looking to replace these as soon as possible, can't have shoes that provide zero grip on wet surfaces when walking a dog and that is what these were bought for. my advice is to give these a miss and spend a little more on something else.
