These started out being my favorite hiking shoes ever! They were so comfy and I love the lacing system. Although they aren't water proof they are water resistant enough for hiking in the light rain in the beautiful PNW.Then after only two months wearing them a hole started appearing in the lining of the heels. I've kept wearing them and the holes have gotten worse, to the point that now I'm getting holes worn into my skin. I've ordered some patches to make repairs. Hopefully that works.I expected more from Salomon. I don’t know that I would recommend them to anyone because I've had other hiking boots that cost the same yet lasted for years.These photos are after 4 months of hiking.Salomon is simply a great running shoe and a good shoe to wear if you are on your feet all day, everyday. This is my 5th pair of Salomon trail runners/hiking shoe. (I consider it a running shoe more than a hiking shoe) I have always worn Asic's for running and I would still recommend the Asic's brand if you found the Salomon doesn't work for you. But personally, Salomon is my new "go to" shoe!At first when i saw this shoe i thought it would have been too big for me but to my supprise it fit perfectly .I usually wear size 10 womens and i read the reviews and went half size down and ordered 9 1/2 .I can't wait to hike with these beauties .These are super comfortable. They don't need a 'break in' period! After all day walking my feet don't hurt! They are very durable.Great shoes, but it took forever to figure out my correct size. I typically wear a 8.5 in Salomon, but I had to order a few sizes to make sure these had the best fit.I’m super happy with these shoes. They’re lightweight but have great traction. Very comfortable for hiking.Good shoe, very light weight and the tread is very grippy/aggressive. They are actually pretty loud when walking on pavement, best for off road. Very roomy in the toe box, i’m always an 8.5 but I wish I had ordered a half size smaller. Kept them anyways because I needed them for a hike.Too large and I had to return it twice. First size 9 then even the 8.5 was too big.
