The waterproof women's WS Wildfire Edge GTX® from Salewa is ideal for technical access with its lightness, anatomical shape and an aggressive sole. The Salewa Switchfit system is as simple as it is clever: simply pull the laces together and up at the back eyelet. As a result, your foot is pulled forward into the toe cap, the toes are compressed like in a climbing shoe, you can easily loosen them for hiking. Especially for climbing, the WS Wildfire Edge GTX® climbing shoe is also equipped with an edging plate, an insole plate under the forefoot that provides additional stiffness under the toes. The Pomoca Speed MTN sole scores points with improved grip and higher friction in dry and wet weather. The sole has a precision climbing zone in the toe area, good edging performance and aggressive studs for improved traction on muddy and soft surfaces. For better torsion resistance, the outer material is made of Exa Shell, which wraps around the foot in combination with the 3-F system for flexibility, fit and support. The Salewa WS Wildfire Edge GTX® climbing shoe lacing system goes down to the toes to deliver a more precise fit and more adjustment options. - Type: women's approach shoe. - Upper material: suede 1.6 mm / Exa Shell Over Injected 3D Cage / microfibre. - Lining: Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort - Footbed: MFF+ - Insole: edging plate. - Midsole: EVA. - Sole: Pomoca Speed MTN. - Shoe heel: 11 mm (heel height 30 mm / height in the toe area 19 mm). - Weight: 369g (base size) - Features: Salewa Switchfit system; Multi Fit Footbed (MFF+); 3-F system; Edging Plate; Climbing lacing; Stretch Gai

I should be a shoe salesman for Salewa-- with all the great things that I have to say about every pair that I have ever owned. The traction is perfect for climbing. This shoe is flexible, yet at the same time, the soles are solid. I can run and jump from one boulder to another without bruising the bottom of my feet should I step on a sharp rock. I have stepped in mud and water and my feet don't get wet. The pair I have now- these- I have had for two years and I use them and abuse them, every day. They dry fast and are durable enough that I can wade in them to fish or launch the boat. I have waded up to my chest in a river with a very soft murky riverbed for at least a quarter of a mile a few times-- and not only did they stay on my feet that were sinking at least 5 inches in, but they also washed right up and looked great the next day for work.
